STORY CAFE ~ The Paper Dolls

This week, we shared The Paper Dolls  by Juila Donaldson and illustrated by Rebecca Cobb.  Here they are (the paper dolls not the author and illustrator...) - Ticky and Tacky and Jackie the Backy and Jim with 2 Noses ans Joe with the Bow.

And on their adventures they meet ... a tiger, a crocodile, a dinosaur, the pigs at the farm, a jar of honey and a bus, and they lie down in the green grass.

Our story props...

We read the story, and then explored some invitations to play and create.

We shared a snack and a drink together, and then finished off by singing some songs and rhymes together.  Two lucky families went home with a copy of The Paper Dolls picture book, and all the other families also got to chose a quality picture book from our selection.  The children all got a sticker, and the mums and dads and grandparents and childminders filled in a  quick evaluation of the session.
