Dear Santa by Rod Campbell.  Christmas-themed lift the flap fun from the author of Dear Zoo - what's not to like about that!

The Fox and the Star by Coralie Bickford-Smith. Newly discovered in a charity shop, I snapped this up straight away for it's beautiful design and illustration. It's design and illustration perfection in 64 pages.  Published by Penguin Books. Find out more here - cb-smith.com/the-fox-and-the-star.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens - I've been collecting these children's classics, and this seemed like a good choice for December.  Ebenezer Sxcrooge is visited bty the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Presemt and Christmas Future to give him a taste of his own medicine and show him how people really live, and how they are kind and happy even in poverty and adversity. Published by Penguin Children's Classics.  Find out more here - https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/56170/a-christmas-carol-by-dickens-charles/9780141324524

Aliens love Panta Claus - I shared this with families at our Story Cafe this month.  The same Aliens in Underpants fun, but with Santa.

Christmas Poems by Wendy Cope. This is a hardback illustrated gift edition which includes some of her favourite Christmas poems as well as new and unpublished work. Bethlehem is a poem for peace, in Christmas Ornaments she remembers her family's collection of tree decorations collected on holidays, Little Donkey is a reminiscence on teaching and fights over who wanted to make the clip-clop sound, and Another Poem is an ode to washing-up...here it is

"Bloody Christmas, here again.
Let us raise a loving cup:
Peace on earth, goodwill to men,
And make them do the washing-up."
