This is a wonderfully nice take on the traditional tales genre.
The littlest member of the Crumb family is missing. The story tells of the family's search as they visit all the fairy tale characters to find out if they have seen little Crumb. Here they are ... and here's little Crumb...
The text is combined with the illustrations beautifully. We can see that it is Grandpa Plum, or the 3 little pigs, or the fairy tale dragon who is talking.
We meet the 3 bears, Goldilocks and the little old lady who lived in a shoe.
A great story to share as a read aloud book, and great for spotting all your favourite fairy tale characters.
