Winnie and Wilbur meet Santa by Valeria Thomas and Korky Paul - Winnie is back, causing chaos at Christmas, poor old Wilbur.  The usual wonderfully detailed illustrations give so much to talk about and point to, and there is a surprise pop-up page at the end.  A great addition to the Winnie series for Winnie fans old and new.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland by Richard B Smith and Tim Hopgood - this comes with a CD too because the story is based on the classic Christmas / Winter song "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" as sung by Peggy Lee in 1965, but originally written and recorded in 1934!  Christmas isn't actually mentioned in the song but sleigh-bells are so that will suffice...  The illustrations are great - really reminiscent of the time of the song.  Tim Hopgood has also illustrated "What a Wonderful World" in the same vein.  Lovely.

A Dot in the Snow by Corrinne Averiss and Fiona Woodcock - this is a lovely story about a polar bear who is looking for something to do, sees a little red dot in the distant white snow, and goes to investigate.  It's a story of friendship and your Mum being there at the end of the day when you've finished playing.  It's also glittery and sparkly which is fabulous.
